Representational image. File | S. Kumar A total of 62 centres have been set up across Tamil Nadu for the counting of votes polled in the recently Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. As per the procedure, the vote counting procedures would commence at 8 a.m. on May 4, 2026.The counting of postal ballots would be the first to start at 8 am. After 30 minutes i.e., at 8:30 a.m., the counting of votes recorded in the Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) would begin. Published - April 28, 2026 01:23 am IST
The Tamil Nadu Hotels Association on Tuesday said that restaurants had increased food prices only by 5% to 10% due to an increase in commercial LPG cylinder prices. Quality and quantity of food had not changed. Addressing presspersons, Association President M. Venkadasubbu said that food was available at all price ranges and restaurants had also adjusted their menus according to popularity and fuel required to cook.
