A Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court in Mumbai has ordered the de-freezing of the bank accounts of actor Rhea Chakraborty and her mother Sandhya, stating that the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) did not secure confirmation from the competent authority within the 30-day period mandated under Section 68F of the NDPS Act.Additional Sessions Judge U.C. Deshmukh passed the order on April 25 while allowing the application filed by Ms. Chakraborty and her mother. The judge noted that the NCB had frozen the bank account during a probe into a drugs case linked to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Published - April 27, 2026 11:58 am IST
