Pact on foreign language learning set to provide global platform to Rajasthan’s youth

A memorandum of understanding on foreign language learning, signed by the Rajasthan government in Jaipur on Friday (May 1, 2026), is set to open new opportunities for the youth and provide a global platform for their skills and talent. It will also strengthen tourism and local industries by improving communication with foreign visitors.The MoU for a foreign language communication skills programme was signed between the State government and the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad, in the presence of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan at B.M. Home Minister G. Parameshwara on Wednesday (April 29, 2026) said that Karnataka has intensified its crackdown on foreign nationals involved in criminal activities and illegal immigration, with a sharp rise in deportations over the past three years.He said that since 2024, police have deported 339 foreign nationals, with more than 50% of the cases linked to offences under the NDPS Act.
