Cabinet sub-panel decides that govt. will purchase Jowar alongside Maize



Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, Tummala Nageswara Rao and Jupally Krishna Rao at a Cabinet sub-committee meeting in Hyderabad on Tuesday. Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao announced that the State Cabinet Sub-Committee has decided to procure jowar (sorghum) along with maize, in order to safeguard the interests of farmers.The Minister stated that while the Telangana government is already purchasing maize using its own funds, despite no support from the Centre, it will now extend procurement to jowar as well.
