Manipur’s Zomi leaders to take late BJP MLA Valte’s body to Delhi, protest outside party office

Valte’s family and the leaders of the Zomi tribe want certain conditions to be fulfilled, including the arrest of those who had attacked Valte in 2023. File | Valte had been physically assaulted by a mob in Imphal on May 4, 2023, resulting in paralysis, and died on February 21, 2026 in a hospital in Haryana’s Gurugram.
