Two NGOs – Nehru Foundation and Srinivasa Seva Trust – collectively on Sunday donated 1,600 tonnes of dry fodder to the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), which will be used for the cows sheltered in Sri Venkateswara Gosamrakshanasala

in Tirupati.Jyothula Nehru, TTD trust board member and convener of the Nehru Foundation and Srinivasa Seva Trust, represented by its Chairman T. Satyanarayana. The fodder came all the way from Jaggampeta in Kakinada district through 180 trucks.TTD’s Additional Executive Officer Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, who formally received the donation, appreciated the gesture and called the donors’ interest towards cow protection and dairy development as a source of inspiration to the society.The fodder will be supplied to the TTD’s dairy farms in Tirupati, Tirumala, Palamaner and Kamalayyagaripalle (near Bhakarapeta), where 2,974 cows, bulls and calves are currently sheltered.
