In a tragic incident, three boys drowned in a village tank in Dharwad taluk on Saturday.The incident occurred at Kariyammana Kere (Tank) in Singanahalli village of Dharwad taluk when the three boys along with others had gone for a swim.The deceased have been identified as Mehaboob Subani Dadapeer Vatnal, 15, Anwar Ibrahim Vatnal, 13, and Subani Isaq Bagojikoppa, 11, all from Singanahalli.On being alerted, the police rushed to the spot, and the bodies were fished out with the help expert swimmers.Superintendent of Police of Dharwad district Gunjan Arya, Deputy Superintendent of Police Vinod Muktedar and others visited the spot. Former MLA Balka Suman. | A police team entered Telangana Bhavan and took the former legislator into custody on Saturday afternoon. Police had registered a case against Suman on May 27 following his remarks at the meeting. Since then, the former MLA had been staying at Telangana Bhavan, while Task Force personnel were deployed outside the building. The arrest came after police had maintained a watch outside the premises for the past three days.Speaking to the media before his arrest, Suman accused the Congress government of targeting Opposition leaders through criminal cases.As rumours of his arrest circulated earlier in the day, Suman told the media prior to his arrest that he was present at Telangana Bhavan and said he would pursue legal remedies if taken into custody.His advocate, who arrived at Telangana Bhavan shortly before the arrest, said an anticipatory bail petition had already been filed.“We have moved for anticipatory bail. The police are deliberately creating a commotion precisely because they are aware of this. We intend to proceed legally, and we have already conveyed our willingness to cooperate with the investigation,” the advocate said.Shortly after the advocate entered Telangana Bhavan, police arrested Suman and escorted him from the premises. An SUV of the Excise team was damaged in the attack, and three personnel were injured. Bakhtiyarpur police station officials arrested two individuals in this regard," Barh SDPO-2 Ayush Shrivastava told reporters in Patna.The arrested individuals are identified as Ramchandra Paswan, alias Ramanand Paswan, and Kanhaiya Kumar, both residents of Barki Mahmoodpur.Further action is being taken, and efforts are underway to identify and arrest all named and unidentified accused individuals, Mr. Shrivastava said."According to information received, they have previously been caught consuming and selling alcohol. Their criminal history is currently being investigated," he added.The excise personnel injured during the raid, including the driver Kanhaiya Kumar, constable Aditya Raj, and an individual named Mantu Kumar, are currently undergoing treatment at a Public Health Centre in Bakhtiyarpur. Police producing the four accused in a cricket betting case at Madakasira in Sri Sathya Sai district on Thursday. | Police seized ₹7.2 lakh in cash and two mobile phones during an operation near Junior College Grounds on Wednesday.Superintendent of Police (SP) S. Satish Kumar told the media here on Thursday that the raid was carried out by Madakasira Urban and Rural police, supervised by Deputy SP (Penukonda) Narasingappa, as part of a district-wide drive against gambling and betting activities.The accused were identified as R. Satish Kumar (49), N. Devaraju (44), Jabbal Irfan (40) and M. Sudheer Reddy (40). A case has been registered under Section 9(1) of the A.P.
