Train collides with school van in West Bengal's Murshidabad, at least three dead

A train collided with a school van in West Bengal's Murshidabad district killing at least three people, including children on Friday (July 17). Hundreds of people gathered at the railway crossing where the accident occured to rescue the victims and survivors.According to early reports, two of the three killed were minors. The accident reportedly occured around 7 a.m. in the morning.The injured survivors have admitted to Murshidabad Medical College and Hospital. Some of the injured are in critical condition and are undergoing treatment.Officials are yet to give official statements. A 10-member team from the railways has reached the spot.The accident has occured at a railway level crossing near the Karna Subarna Railway Station in Murshidabad. The van was reportedly trying to cross the level crossing when the train rammed into it.However, no official statements from the railway or the administration has come in till now.
