Three people have been killed and several others injured following a shooting at a food festival near the Space Needle in Seattle on Sunday.Police said there were two suspects who were shooting at each other. One of the suspects is in custody and the other still at large, although officials have said there is no threat to public.Shots rang out at around 18:00 local time (01:00 GMT) at one of the city's most popular tourist spots and as the annual Bite of Seattle food festival drew even more people to the downtown area. Two deaths were confirmed at the scene, and one person died later in hospital. Those injured include a two-year-old boy, officials said.Sunday was the final day of the annual three day free food festival held near the city's iconic Space Needle which is located in the civic complex. The event draws some 350,000 people each year.Videos shared online showed people crouched on the ground, taking cover behind pillars and shelves of merchandise in the Space Needle's lobby during the shooting.Several witnesses told a local TV station affiliated to CBS News, the BBC's US partner, that they heard multiple shots before running away."At first, thought there were fireworks, and then everybody flooded and ran past us," Nick Bate told the TV station.Leanne Coles another witness told the station she used the Space Needle to try to keep track of where she was."Everybody started running, and so we just ran too, and we ran through the garden and we ducked and we decided to keep running with the crowd," she said.Faith Adia Hunter told Associated Press that one of the shooters was near her and her friends when they heard the shots, sending them fleeing for shelter in the Seattle Children's Museum."We were right next to him when it started so we took off running," she said. "So we took off running too into the building with the crowd."Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal, who represents Seattle, added: "Our hearts go out to all those impacted by this senseless violence," she wrote on social media."We are in close touch with Seattle Mayor Katie Wilson and Governor Bob Ferguson, and co-ordinating across multiple levels of government to get updates on the situation."Wilson also condemned the shooting as an "act of horrific violence"."Impacted families are living through the worst moment of their lives, and an entire community is trying to understand how a gathering built around culture, connection, and joy ended in gunfire.""Tonight, our attention belongs to the people whose lives were taken, those fighting to recover, and the families beside them," she added."Seattle grieves with you, and we will stand with you in the difficult days ahead."

The attack happened at about 22:00 local time (20:00 GMT), with a report made to police in Berlin that a white vehicle struck crowds at a Pride event in the capital. Hundreds of thousands of people had gathered at Tiergarten park, near the iconic Brandenburg Gate, for the annual event, which is known as Christopher Street Day. Some people were also stabbed in the incident. Shortly afterwards, the Pride event was cancelled. A performance was abruptly brought to a end, with organisers taking to the stage and advising the crowd that the event was over and to start walking towards the exits. As the message was being given to the crowd, the word 'Evacuation' projected onto a large screen on the stage. Unverified video posted to social media showed large crowds of people leaving the scene as emergency vehicles raced to the scene. At about 01:00 local time, police confirmed that one woman had been killed and 16 others had suffered injuries.A short time later police confirmed they had located the vehicle believed to have been used in the attack, with it having crashed into a tree. European leaders have been swift to express their condemnation of the attack.European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen expressed her sympathy to the victims, saying the Pride event stands for "freedom, dignity, and equality - the fundamental values of the EU"."Every person should be able to live, love, and stand up for their rights without fear," she writes on social media.Rob Jetten, prime minister of the Netherlands, said the Dutch stand "shoulder to shoulder with our German neighbours," while Italy's prime minister Georgia Meloni expressed "solidarity and sincere sympathy".The UK's defence secretary Wes Streeting called the incident "an absolutely horrific disaster", adding his thoughts and prayers are with the German people.Did you attend Berlin Pride?
