Baby girl received in Ammathottil
The girl is the 1000th infant to be received in the Ammathottil since it was founded on November 14, 2002.The five-day-old girl, weighing 2.57 kg, was received in the cradle at 3.35 a.m. on Tuesday morning. She was named Sahasra, council general secretary G.L. Arun Gopi said.He said work was on to set up high-tech Ammathottil cradles in Idukki, Kannur, and Wayanad districts. In most other districts, the cradles were set up near district or taluk hospitals in the district headquarters. In Idukki and Kannur, the Ammathottil cradles had to be removed as part of hospital development works.
