MP meets Culture Minister, seeks approval for ₹20 crore Kalaburagi fort conservation project

MP for Kalaburagi Radhakrishna Doddamani met with Union Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and submitted a letter seeking urgent approval for the proposed ₹20 crore conservation and rejuvenation project for the historic Kalaburagi fort.Proposed under the AMRUT 2.0, the project includes restoration of the fort’s moat, garden development, landscape, plantation and other environmental improvement works. It aims to preserve the monument and develop it as a green heritage landmark.Mr. Doddamani urged the Minister to intervene and coordinate with the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) for expeditious administrative approval, as the proposal is pending at the ASI headquarters.He said the initiative would help preserve Kalaburagi’s rich historical heritage to promote tourism, environmental improvement and regional development.
