Seven dead in stampede in Bihar’s Ashok Dham temple
The injured are admitted in Sadar (town) hospital.The District Magistrate Shailendra Kumar said there was stampede at 6:40 am due to a heavy rush of devotees at the temple.The incident occurred as devotees rushed to offer water to lord Shiva in the holy month of Shravan.Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Shivam Kumar said, “Police personnel and officials of the district administration have reached the spot, and the rescue work is on.”With inputs from PTI.
