The deceased has been identified as Rihan Ahmed, son of Binaf from Kodungallur. Binaf was holidaying at the resort along with his family. The boy reportedly slipped and fell into the swimming pool while playing. Though he was pulled out and rushed to a private hospital nearby, the child’s life could not be saved. The police said the incident highlighted the need for adults to closely supervise children around swimming pools, particularly in resorts and other holiday destinations.
