Telangana CM Revanth Reddys US trip cancelled after Centre denies clearance. On August 20, the CM embarked on a 10-day tour of the UK and the US with a delegation of officials to sign business Mo Us. However, the CM’s office on Friday stated that the Ministry of External Affairs has denied permission, saying “clearance from political angle is denied”. The CMO officials are trying to get more clarity from MEA officials regarding the denial of permission, but said the CM will return to Hyderabad from London on August 23 instead of leaving for Boston. Following the denial,  A Revanth Reddy instructed the official ‘Telangana Rising’ delegation to proceed with the US tour and to sign Mo Us with top educational institutions like Harvard, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), North-Eastern University and Virginia Tech.
