Manhunt after shooting at Swiss rave kills woman, 22, and injures five
A woman passenger from West Bengal was arrested with 19 kg of ganja at Kozhikode railway station on Sunday. The accused was identified as Minoti Sardar. Railway Protection Force (RPF) officers said the woman was travelling in the general coach of the Chennai–Mangaluru Express with the contraband. They said a flash inspection conducted by the Government Railway Police (GRP) and the RPF in the morning led to the seizure of the ganja and the arrest of the woman. GRP sources said the woman was suspected of having procured the stock from Andhra Pradesh. They said she had been involved in similar smuggling attempts earlier. In a similar incident last week, two other natives of West Bengal were also nabbed by the GRP enforcement squad. K. Suman and Lal Chand, were caught during a flash inspection of the reserved coaches of the same train.
47% attendance for NEET PG in Hyderabad. The NEET-PG 2026 examination was conducted smoothly and successfully across four centres in the district on Sunday. 47%. Twenty-five candidates remained absent. Hyderabad District Collector Priyanka Ala inspected the NEET-PG examination centre at Innovision Technologies in Secunderabad and reviewed arrangements made for the examination. She inspected the centre’s infrastructure, security arrangements, functioning of jammers, flying and sitting squads, and candidate frisking procedures. She also reviewed amenities for candidates, including emergency medicines, sanitation, and uninterrupted power supply arrangements. At the Secunderabad centre, 170 candidates were allotted and seven were absent. Ms. Ala directed officials and exam staff to remain vigilant and conclude all exam procedures as per the guidelines prescribed by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences.
