Assembly till September 12

The Monsoon session of the Assembly will be held till September 12, and it will be decided later if there is a need to extend the sessions. The decision was taken at the Business Advisory Committee (BAC), chaired by Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar on Monday. Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Legislative Affairs Minister D. Sridhar Babu, Government whips Adi Srinivas and Beerla Ilaiah, BJP Legislature Party leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy and AIMIM MLA Ahmed bin Abdullah Balala attended the meeting. The BRS stayed away. Key issues, including discussion on the Section 22A prohibited lands, fee reimbursement and irrigation, are likely to come up for discussion. Both the BJP and BRS have been demanding extensive discussion on the issue. AIMIM MLA Balala sought discussions on fee reimbursement as well as issues concerning Minorities.
