File compliance report over loud music during Ganesh idol procession, immersion: HC to police

The judge made it clear the order relating to Ganesh festivities passed by the HC on August 25 last year was applicable throughout the State and to the current year as well. The noise pollution created by loud music along the immersion route was causing trouble for the elderly and those suffering from ailments. The organisers were not complying with the Noise Pollution (Regulation and Control) Rules-2000, the judge said. The judge directed the Home Secretary to file a compliance report on Ganesh idol immersion in and around Hyderabad by Thursday.
