Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy has condemned the alleged lathicharge on Khammam MP R. Raghuram Reddy by police in New Delhi during an INDIA bloc-led protest demanding the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Gyanesh Kumar in New Delhi on Wednesday. In a statement issued here on Thursday, the Minister alleged that the MP was injured after police used batons as he was proceeding towards Jantar Mantar along with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi. Mr. Srinivas Reddy said it was unfortunate that Opposition parties were being stopped from holding a protest over the issue of voting rights and that such actions were against the spirit of democracy.
Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) on Thursday issued notices to Dr Reddy's, Nestle Health Science, Tirupati Wellness, Flipkart, Amazon and Netmeds for selling misleading health supplement products. FSSAI issues notice to Dr Reddy's, Nestle Health Science Taking to social media, the food regulator announced action against the companies for non-compliant advertising and claims for the product "CELEVIDA GLP " on e-commerce platforms. The regulator said that the claims printed on the pack, such as muscle strength, immunity support and energy metabolism, can potentially mislead consumers about the product and its health benefits.
