VCK to look into complaints that its cadre didn’t work well in some seats
Cadres of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) ransacked the camp office of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA of Karimnagar, Gangula Kamalakar, and made a vain bid to attack the Huzurabad (BRS) MLA P. Kaushik Reddy in Karimnagar around noon on Thursday (May 7, 2026).The furious BJP cadre, armed with sticks, stormed the camp office in protest against what they termed as ‘unwarranted and derogatory remarks’ by Mr. Reddy against Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sajay during a press conference held at the camp office earlier in the day.Mr. Reddy accused Mr. Sanjay of using tobacco mixed with drugs and dared him to undergo a drug test. The remarks triggered a violent protest by the BJP workers, who went berserk, ransacking the office furniture and smashing the window panes of Mr. Reddy’s car.The infuriated cadre made an abortive attempt to attack Mr. Reddy, who was inside the conference hall of the camp office. Even as the police locked the main entrance gate of the camp office, the protesters tried to scale the gate. As tension broke out, the police dispersed the agitators by resorting to mild laticharge.
